I am very honored that my painting ‘Soulscape’ from the new Blossom Into Being Series is included in the Resiliency Redux Exhibition at the Krasl Art Center in St. Joseph, Michigan.
Artist Statement
Soulscape, 30 x 30 inches, oil on canvas, shows the rhythms and landscapes of one’s inner being. This painting embraces new life and follows the 2020 global pandemic series that I painted only with shades of blue to invite relaxation, tranquility and introspection. In many cultures blue is the bringer of peace and symbolizes protection and truth.
Shades of blue continue in this 2021 artwork dancing with the rich colors of life, inviting renewal with dynamic vigor.
Look at each color individually; let it represent a memory, a thought, an emotion, a place, a lover. Embrace the colorful tapestry of life.
Allow yourself to reach a higher perspective and understand how the puzzle pieces of each experience mend together into wholeness.
Souscape is the first completed painting from the new Blossom Into Being Series. This series celebrates new life and rebirth.
